Looking for an unforgettable cycling adventure through some of New Zealand’s most stunning landscapes? The Lake Dunstan Discovery offers the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation. 

First up - a scenic drive through the Kawarau Gorge connects Queenstown to the start of the trail in Cromwell.  After a bike fitting and tour briefing, it's in the shuttle heading to the trail head at Clyde, just 20 minutes from Cromwell.

Then it's on the bike!  Cycle alongside the crystal-clear waters of Lake Dunstan, and enjoy the spectacular views of Central Otago’s rugged beauty. The Lake Dunstan Trail offers an accessible ride past vineyards, historic sites, and charming townships at either end of the trail.

• From Queenstown, the Kiwi Journeys shuttle provides transport to the Kiwi Journeys depot in Cromwell where a comprehensive bike fitting and tour briefing will be conducted
• Then a quick shuttle provides a transfer from Cromwell to the Clyde 
• Enjoy a wander around Clyde township before navigating to the start of the trail
• On the trail, pass the Clyde Dam, a significant hydro-electric power station
• Traverse up switchbacks and across the landmark Hugo Suspension Bridge
• Continue along the trail as it heads towards Bannockburn, taking in majestic views of the hills and rocky outcrops along the way
• Venture alongside the Bannockburn Inlet and perhaps call in to Felton Road where many renowned wineries are located
• On the home strait heading towards the Cromwell Heritage Precinct, be back at the Kiwi Journeys Cromwell depot by 4.15pm

Check-in: Queenstown at 7.15am for a 7.30am departure from 9 Duke St, Queenstown - behind Browns Ski Shop and in front of the Sofitel Queenstown

Return: Check bikes in to the Kiwi Journeys Cromwell depot by 4.15pm to catch the shuttle departing at 4.30pm bound for Queenstown

Accidental damage insurance -

Accidents do happen, we highly recommend you take accidental damage insurance. For example if the bike fell over and damaged a wheel, stand, derailleur or eBike computer, we will cover it! (New eBike computer = $250)
